First Rotterdam will be built at the prominent Rotterdam Central District, straight across from the city’s central train station. First Rotterdam is
a statement in metropolitan dynamics. The 125-metre building will become
a new landmark on the Rotterdam skyline and be the first impression that some 320,000 travellers have when visiting the new Rotterdam Central train station.

The project includes a total of 54,000 m² gross floor surface of office space, bars and restaurants, a courtyard and parking facilities. For the development of First Rotterdam, Maarsen Groep and MAB Development have signed a 50/50 agreement. Construction is planned to get underway in the second half of this year and the building will be delivered in 2015.

The high-quality architecture designed by Branimir Medic from Amsterdam architectural firm Architekten Cie is in line with the ambitions of Rotterdam Central District. As of 2012 the new Central Station will develop into a public transport terminal of international allure. The accessibility of First Rotterdam is one of the major benefits to its tenants. The building will welcome Robeco with its new 16,000 m² head office as a tenant, which chose the location as it meets various important requirements: First Rotterdam is very accessible by public transport, car and bicycle, involves a sustainable building and is right in the heart of the city. NautaDutilh has also signed up for 10,000 m² on the top floors of the First Tower.
