Living, shopping, learning, working, sports activities, music, dancing, weddings, food and drinks; it is all available in Oostpoort, the future central area of Amsterdam East. The (re)development project includes the former Sportfondsenbad swimming pool, as well as the new local town hall, and various cultural facilities and schools.

This unique project is developing a forgotten industrial heritage estate into a new lively centre for Amsterdam East on the grounds of the former gas factory. The respectful preservation of the existing historic buildings within a creative interpretation will transform the new-build project into an attractive working, living and shopping area. The new retail centre and its underground parking will serve as an addition to the popular Linnaeusstraat/Middenweg shopping area.

Oostpoort is a development by Polderweg Area Development Combination (OCP) in cooperation with local district council. Development and realisation of the project is in the hands of the OCP consortium, which consists of Bouwfonds Property Development, MAB Development, Ymere and Stadgenoot.
