Huge crowds at Hollister opening in MyZeil

Frankfurt am Main, 10/12/09. Today at 10am, the moment finally arrived - the opening of the much anticipated and long-awaited Hollister shop in Frankfurt’s MyZeil, the first in continental Europe. Fans of the cult label had been waiting since the morning for the sexy store models to finally open the doors. The visitors then surged into the approx. 700 m2 store. From teenagers to hip women in their mid-forties, they were all incredibly keen to get their hands on the southern Californian surfer style clothes typical of the brand.

For many, particularly the young women who turned up, the special Hollister shopping experience began before they had even entered the store – not least because the very attractive doormen were wearing nothing but red surfer shorts and their sixpacks. It was also immediately apparent from the interior of the store just why Hollister enjoys such a cult status: dark furniture, heavy armchairs, glittering chandeliers and exotic wallpaper entice visitors into a strange and mysterious world. Steffen Höhn, Director of Leasing and Marketing at MAB Development Deutschland, who was responsible for landing this particular catch, was ready for the crowds: “The crowds of people did not surprise us at all. It is a cult brand, after all! We’re proud that we have been able to acquire this excellent brand for MyZeil”.
