Roppenheim will open on 25 april 2012
MAB Development and NEINVER, both co-developers of Roppenheim
The Style Outlets, have now announced the grand opening date: 25 April 2012.
"Construction work is almost complete and the first units will be delivered to leaseholders at the start of 2012," said Marc Vaquier, CEO of MAB Development France. "25 April is an excellent time for retailers because it coincides with the school holidays,” said Mayte Legeay, Director of Neinver France.
The centre will bring together French, German and international brands in the areas of fashion, sports, accessories and home and “brands that have until now not been available in Alsace," said Mayte Legeay.
Roppenheim The Style Outlets will include 107 mid to premium-brand stores,
a restaurant and cafes, a leasable area of 27,280 m² and 50,000 m² of green space, all by the edge of a lake. The stores will offer items from previous collections to consumers who will benefit from reductions ranging from 30% to -70%, depending on the time of year,
when compared to retail prices in traditional stores. Local commerce will also be on site, with dining locations featuring in particular. Roppenheim The Style Outlets will also offer a wide range of quality services for all: a rest area, family restrooms with baby-changing facilities, a play area for children and much more.
As a truly unique outlet centre, Roppenheim The Style Outlets will resemble an old-Alsace fortified village. With its silhouette of many cornices, pediments, towers, wall turrets and roofs in the traditional colour, the outlet centre has been designed as much to encourage a new way of shopping as to make itself a tourist destination. The Alsace-based architects, who have designed it to be in harmony with its surroundings, have created three distinct stylistic aspects: baroque, medieval and renaissance.
The exceptional location of the outlet centre, in Alsace near the German border, gives it a catchment area that covers around 8.4 million potential customers. In addition, Alsace is the second most wealthy region of France and Baden-Württemberg is the most prosperous of all Germany. Between them, these two regions attract more than 27 million tourists a year.
Roppenheim The Style Outlets is one of many projects in the 50/50 joint venture created between MAB Development and NEINVER, who are currently developing another in France at Honfleur.
