MAB Development starts construction of b-tower in rotterdam
MAB Development has announced that a start has been made with construction of the B-Tower project in the centre of Rotterdam. Designed by renowned architect Wiel Arets, the B-Tower consists of 20 floors with a total height of 70 metres. The first three floors, covering some 4,000 m², will be home to a branch of clothing store The Sting. The next two layers will be parking areas, with the other 15 floors being residential apartments. The project is located on Van Oldenbarnevelt Plaats, next to the Bijenkorf department store.
There will be 54 studios for sale, ranging in size from 45 m² to 75 m², and another 24 apartments for rent ranging from 90 m² to 120 m². All will have an interior design from the boards of Wiel Arets, who is also responsible for the exterior. The architect is renowned for an exceptionally high level of finishing and large outdoor spaces. In this respect the project will help facilitate the goal of Rotterdam council to ensure that young and well educated people continue to live in the city centre.
