CNAC gives green light for Village des Alpes, France

On the 26th of May 2010, the CNAC (Commission Nationale d’Aménagement Commercial) granted the retail permit for the "Village des Alpes©” project developed by MAB Development in joint venture with NEINVER.

The "Village des Alpes©”, future  outlet centre for the Rhône-Alpes region located in the commune of Châtaillon-en-Michaille (Community of Communes of the Pays Bellegardien) in the Ain department, will dispose of 16,085 sq.m. of sales area and offer 90 national and international brand names in the field of personal goods, as well as an area dedicated to tourism, several restaurants and a car park for about 1,360 vehicles. The opening is planned in 2013.

This project will integrate harmoniously within the surrounding countryside thanks to its typical 'mountain architecture' and its high-quality building materials: wood, stone and tiles. The environmental approach for this project should enable it to receive the certification mark “NF Tertiary Buildings – High Environmental Quality”.

The "Village des Alpes©" shall also stimulate existing local economical activity by strengthening the regional tourism which would generate 500 directly and indirectly jobs.
